Prunes in Red Wine recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups of dry red wine.
2 tablespoons of honey.
6 cups of pitted dried prunes.
1 whole vanilla bean.
Directions:
In a large saucepan, combine the dry red wine and honey.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Lower heat to medium, then add the prunes. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
Spoon into a heat-proof container.
Add the vanilla bean.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Reheat or serve chilled, removing vanilla bean before serving.
